Beau Armistead M.A., LPC, NCC
Beau Armistead is a Nationally Certified Counselor with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Auburn University (1995) and a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University (2012). Since receiving his undergraduate degree, he has worked in various settings, serving adolescents and adults with relationship, substance abuse and trauma related issues.
Beau practices EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), a cutting edge treatment used to treat anxiety, depression, and PTSD, among other issues. He is also certified to provide the PREPARE/ENRICH marriage inventory, as well as TBRI (trust based relational intervention) to help serve adoptive families.
He has served as the director of Lone Sheep Ministry since 2002 and has recently begun full time counseling as his primary role in ministry.
Beau has been married to his wife Ashley since 1996 and they have three children, the oldest of whom is adopted from Vietnam. The Armisteads enjoy backpacking, camping and spending time outside in their gardens and with their animals on their small homestead in Etowah County.
