Susan Hart is a nationally certified, Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Supervisor with advanced credentials in personality theory. She has been qualified and certified in Myers-Briggs
personality assessment, and as a certified Daring Way™ Therapist, offers group programs exploring Brené Brown’s revolutionary work on courage, connection, and vulnerability. She is Seminar
Coordinator for Glenn and Associates, CruiseOne's Seminars at Sea program, and presents seven-day Daring Way™ cruises.
After earning her bachelor’s degree from Samford University and a master of arts in counseling from The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Susan served for sixteen years as director of the UAB Counseling and Wellness Center. In this position, she counseled students, supervised and trained staff, and trained over thirty master’s-level counseling interns.
Susan began her lifelong dedication to the well-being of others as a young woman working in international Christian training and relief work. She has lived and worked in Cyprus, Israel, Switzerland, and Canada, and has travelled extensively in ten other countries and studied five languages. She trained with the American Red Cross as a disaster relief volunteer—training
she put to good use working with Trinity’s outreach to Hurricane Katrina evacuees.
Susan’s personal mission statement is to “bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives, and to comfort those who mourn.” Or, as she puts it more simply, “to help others to live well.”
