Cori Ray is an Associate Licensed Counselor. She obtained her B.S. in Social Work and M.A. in Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She currently serves with two local ministries: the Mustard Seed Society and the Rescue Our Children Program. Her previous experience includes work with Child Abuse Prevention, Foster Care, Grief Counseling, Sexual Abuse, At Risk Youth, and those managing a chronic illness. Cori partners with another counselor to teach suicide prevention to High School students in the local area.
With twenty two years' experience working in the medical community and as a former breast cancer patient herself, Cori understands the strain that illness puts on individuals and families. Cori was invited and accepted the opportunity to join the UAB Courage Foundation. This organization provides counseling to patients who have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. She enjoys sharing her testimony of faith and healing with churches and women's groups.
