Killette Anderson
M.A., LPC
Killette Anderson first felt led to the counseling profession as a teenager, recognizing the challenges faced in adolescence and guidance needed by teens. After a few years working as a school counselor, she felt a desire to go deeper with those she helped and to reach a wider population. Her experience includes intensive in-home counseling with families treating behavioral challenges, school-based therapy, and working with clients of all ages in a group practice setting.
Killette is inspired in her work by Galatians 6:2, commanding us to "carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." She desires for her clients to have a safe place to share the load of their burdens and find tools to carry and cope with them more easily. Killette is a Certified Enneagram Coach and is pursuing training in the Gottman Method for couples therapy. She treats a wide variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, family of origin issues, marital issues, and relational trauma.
Killette completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Alabama and earned a M.A. in Counseling from The University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2014. In her free time, she enjoys reading a little bit of everything, from historical fiction to memoirs, as well as enjoying time with her dog, Cora, hiking and staying active. You can often find her playing with her young niece and nephew or enjoying fellowship with her church family.
