Sherer Boswell Thomson
M.Ed., LPC

Sherer has a passion for coming alongside individuals who have been affected by trauma. She has worked with clients who have experienced complex trauma, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, and spiritual abuse, as well as those dealing with the effects of a cancer diagnosis and treatment, loss of a loved one, and healing from divorce.

She provides trauma informed and attachment based therapy, working to ensure each client feels safe and heard. Using a variety of evidence-based techniques such as EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and other somatic and experiential techniques, she helps people reconnect with their bodies, emotions, and community as they move towards healing.

“For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

God has a plan- a hope-filled plan- for each of us. Sometimes we may forget this or find it difficult to believe. Sometimes we may feel we don’t deserve it. Sherer became a counselor to walk alongside people as they confront any issues or situations that may be preventing them from living out the hope and future God has for them.
