On October 14, 2021, from 6:00–8:00 p.m., Trinity’s Board of Influencers, Host Committee and Board of Directors will hold its 9th annual benefit: Tacos for Trinity at The Battery above Birmingham District Brewing. As in years past, our guests will enjoy a fun, upbeat atmosphere with great food, live music and an exciting Silent Auction benefiting Trinity Counseling. Our annual event helps to provide a significant portion of Trinity’s annual budget, allowing the ministry to continue providing much-needed mental health services to the community at an affordable cost. We hope you will mark your calendar and plan to attend!
Why Support Trinity Counseling?
Trinity Counseling is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2000 that serves the greater Birmingham area by providing affordable faith-based counseling, mental health services, and support programs to those in need, regardless of their economic or financial status. Trinity Counseling also provides special support services to service providers. These individuals include pastors, mental health counselors, social workers, school counselors, military, police and other first responders.
In the past year 794,000 Alabamians reported that their mental health was negatively impacted due to worry and stress over the COVID-19 virus and other factors. 51% reported that their mental health needs went unmet due to cost factors. Awareness of, access to, and affordability of community mental health resources are three major factors in determining whether a person is able to get the support they need during times of increased stress—Trinity Counseling prioritizes all three. In 2020 Trinity provided 8,000+ counseling sessions and responded to 500+ NEW requests for counseling appointments. The needs continue to grow—funding is critical! Please plan to attend this year’s event and bid on the great auction items that will be presented. Your support and generosity will help Trinity Counseling provide desperately needed, affordable mental health services to countless individuals and families of the greater Birmingham area.
